I think it comes with age for me but those days of staying in hostels and dorm rooms are near long gone for me (although I still stay in some when needed).
I’ve always wanted to visit Rome, it was definitely a dream of mine. Not only do they have one of my favourite ever cuisines there but also there seemed to be a certain romance about wandering the streets of historic Rome.
Although it is a compact city and most things are walkable, for me staying at the Cardinal Hotel was a blessing, being a short metro ride out of the centre, we were away from the hustle and bustle of the tourists that come with the European summer.
The rooms were arty and fresh, I absolutely loved the red theme running throughout too. There was aircon, tv, Wi-Fi, Bath/Shower, mini fridge, safe, robes and slippers and plenty of big, fresh towels. My favourite part though had to be the balcony view. a table and two chairs perched on the sunny terrace outside your room with a dreamy view of Rome in the distance. It was the perfect way to end a day of exploring, while watching the sun go down with a glass of wine!
This hotel gives you the luxuries that you didn’t even know you wanted, like a rooftop jacuzzi! Not only that but they also have a rooftop bar, swimming pool, and an amazing restaurant that opens for lunch and dinner!
